Arab engineers meet in Tunis

Arab engineers are holding here their second seminar April 3-4 on the theme "urban environment and Arab town in the 21st century."
The seminar, sponsored by the Arab engineers union, is held in preparation for the 22nd Arab congress of Arab engineers union slated for 2001 in Tunis on the theme of environment and the role of the Arab engineer.
The meeting will examine the role of the town in the economic development of the Arab world, Arab town standards, fight against deterioration of town environment, the place of the Arab architectural legacy in the modernization of the town and living conditions of citizens in Arab towns.
The third meeting will be held in Damascus in September 2000 on the topic "energy and its sources in the Arab world and lasting development."
