Iraqi trade minister holds talks with Moroccan officials

Means to bolster bilateral cooperation were at the focus of talks visiting Iraqi trade minister, Mohamed Saleh in Rabat on Monday with Moroccan officials.
Talks also dealt with prospects of economic cooperation through intensifying contacts between Moroccan and Iraqi businessmen with a view to exploring investment opportunities and reinforce partnership between the two countries.
The two sides further stressed the need to improve bilateral exchanges especially in the field of energy.
The overall volume of exchanges between the two countries is estimated at about $ 220 million largely covered by Moroccan oil bill.
The Iraqi official, who started Sunday a visit to Morocco at the head of a large delegation, co-chaired Monday with Moroccan peer the 8th session of the Moroccan-Iraqi joint commission.
