Cairo summit probes political-social development issues

The Africa - Europe Summit resumed works Tuesday to deal with political and social development issues.

While the three-hour morning session covered political issues, the afternoon meeting is devoted to human and social development in the African continent.

The closing ceremony slated for the evening will climax with the adoption of the Cairo statements and the action plan to enhance economic cooperation relations between Africa and Europe.

On Monday, 67 heads of state and government had the opportunity to deal with economic issues, mainly the debt problem and ways to boost trade exchanges between Europe and Africa as well as European investments in the continent.
