Al-Hoss, Syrian prime minister meet on further bilateral cooperation

Syrian Prime Minister Muhammad Mustafa Miro and Lebanese Prime Minister Salim al-Hoss on Monday held a meeting in Damascus.
During the meeting talks dealt with the relations between the two states.
The two premiers reviewed various steps realized in the field of boosting relations on the political, economic and social levels and the implementation of signed agreements for deepening cooperation which cover all fields and setting up economic and social integration in various industrial agricultural and services sectors.
The two premiers asserted the need to formulate a future vision based on what has been achieved during the past phase and containing objectives sought by the two states. They stressed that Syria and Lebanon have the united will to achieve economic integration and establish a Syrian- Lebanese common market to be a natural step on the road to setting up a common Arab market.
The two premiers also stressed cohesion between the Syrian and Lebanese tracks and the united Syrian -Lebanese stands against attempts made by Israel to obstruct the realization of a just and comprehensive peace in the region.
Present at the meeting were the Syrian deputy premier for services, Muhammad Naji al-Otari; the deputy premier for economic affairs, Khaled Raad; the minister of the economy and foreign trade, Muhammad al-Imadi; the tourism minister, Qasem Miqdad; the minister of state for planning, Issam al-Zaem; the transport minister, Mukarram Obeid; and the secretary general of the Syrian- Lebanese higher council, Nasri al-Khouri.
Later in the day, the Lebanese prime minister left Damascus after a one-day visit to Syria.
He was seen off at Damascus' western entrance by Premier Miro, the two deputy premiers, the Cabinet ministers and other Syrian officials concerned.
