Two American travelers visit Palmyra

American traveler Franklin Jones and his wife, Catherene Bzeira, visited the city of Palmyra on their bike. They started their journey from Japan in July 1999 and passed through Malaysia, Thailand, China, Nepal, India, Egypt, Jordan and then Syria, SANA reported.
The American traveler told SANA's correspondent in Palmyra that he will stay with his wife for ten days in Syria, during which he will see its most important archaeological and tourist attractions.
He added that they will then turn to Turkey, Greece, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, England and then Ireland, which will by the final point for their journey which by then will last for one year. He said in total, they will pass during their journey 25,000 km at an average of 100 km per day.
He stated that the aim of his journey is to become acquainted with people's customs and traditions, ways of living and their family experiences. He expressed great admiration for Syria, saying that Syria enjoys security and stability.
