The American Day at Al Akhawayn University Wednesday

The Al Akhawayn University International (AUI) and the United States embassy in Morocco will be staging Wednesday an "AUI-American Day" on the campus in Ifrane.

The event will be attended by Mrs Evelyn Lieberman, undersecretary of state for public affairs and diplomacy, ambassador Edward Gabriel and other Moroccan and American personalities.

Two study, research and training centers will be inaugurated.

The "Hillary Clinton Women's Empowerment Center" will be designing programs and syllabi centered on women's role in development, while the "Executive Education Center" to train leaders, promote AUI objectives and help enhance trade between Morocco and the United States.

Mrs Lieberman will address participants to talk about globalization and challenges thrown at a globalized world, MAP reported.
