Al-Hoss in Damascus on Monday

The Lebanese daily al-Nahar stated today that Lebanese Prime Minister Salim al-Hoss will meet with Col. Bashar al-Assad in Damascus on Monday and will meet later with the new Syrian Prime Minister Muhammad Mustafa Miro to congratulate him on his new post and then with the Foreign Minister Farouk al-Shara.
Al-Hoss will discuss during this visit, which is the first Lebanese - Syrian contact following the Geneva summit, results of the summit and possibilities facing both Syria and Lebanon in light of the Israeli stances towards withdrawal from the south and the western Bekaa.
