Israelis favor unilateral withdrawal from Lebanon

An opinion poll carried out on Friday in occupied Jerusalem said that 68% of the Israelis back a unilateral military withdrawal from Lebanon.
The opinion poll whose results were published in the Israeli daily Maareve said the percentage of those opposing withdrawal decreased from 31% TO 24%.
Some 71% of the Israelis see that this withdrawal will not restore back tranquility to north Israel in the absence of a peace agreement with Syria and Lebanon, whereas 20% hold the opposite opinion. The other 10% contained in the opinion poll did not give their opinions.
