Bahrain to reopen its embassy in Baghdad

Well-informed Arab sources announced on Friday that Bahrain will open shortly its embassy in Baghdad, closed since ten years.
The source said that Bahrain had appointed the Bahraini diplomat Hassan al-Ansari who used to work at the embassy before the embassy closed its doors in 1990 as a charge de affairs and therefore Bahrain has become the third Arab state to reopen its embassy in Baghdad following in the footsteps of Qatar and Oman. It is likely that the United Arab Emirates UAE will take a similar step in the near future.
A high ranking diplomat stated that al-Ansari went to Baghdad on Thursday after he was officially appointed as a charge de affairs and al-Ansari will next week will reopen his country's embassy in Baghdad.
