Unemployment support for university graduates in Kuwait
Kuwait, Politics, 3/31/2000
The Kuwaiti Umma Council (parliament) agreed on a law to support the national labor which aims at encouraging Kuwaiti graduates of universities and higher institutes-- estimated at 10,000 graduates annually-- to work outside the governmental sector, which currently empoys more than 90% of the Kuwaiti labor force. The law states that the government will assist financially those who wish in the Kuwaiti private sector, which pays lesser salaries.
