Albright and the Geneva summit
Regional-USA, Politics, 3/31/2000
Israeli Radio said the US decided to concentrate on the Palestinian-Israeli negotiation tracks after the failure of the Geneva summit to bridge the gap between the Syrian and Israeli tracks. The reports added that this was expressed by US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright on her way to meet with her counterparts in the states of the Caribbean Sea.
Albright denied that the meeting between Presidents Clinton and al-Assad in Geneva was a great failure, saying the ball is now in the Syrian court and that she is looking to hear "something " from the Syrian side.
