International conference on protecting the environment and remote sensing in Oman

Egypt is participating in the international conference for the Geo Environment 2000 that is currently being held in Oman and is discussing the issues of protecting the interntational environment and remote sensing.
The conference also tackles the issues of pollution sources, treatment of soil and water, risks of groundwater pollution, remote sensing systems for geographical data, water economics and protecting the soil from pollution due to mining operations.
A group of researchers, engineers and scientists from Egypt, the USA, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Tunisia, Libya, Iraq, Syria, Jordan, India, Pakistan and Bangladesh are participating in the conference.
