Morocco's largest private company Omnium Nord Africain increase sales by 36 percent
Morocco, Business, 3/30/2000
The sales of Omnium Nord Africain (ONA), Morocco's largest private company, increased by 36% in 1999 compared to the previous year, ONA chief Murad Cherif said.
Cherif, who was presenting the group's achievements to the press, attributed the increase to a good performance of ONA's mining, distribution, and car-making branches.
He said that the group implemented in 1999 an ambitious development policy that was translated by a strong internal growth. The policy also helped ONA have control over Morocco's investments company, SNI, and of two insurance firms, Compagnie Africaine d'Assurance and AXA Al-Amane.
