US processing results of Libyan visit
Libya-USA, Politics, 3/29/2000
US State Department deputy spokesman James Foley said yesterday that US State Department Bureau of Consular Affairs officials had completed their visit to Libya and that they met with Western diplomats, American expatriates, a consular official from the Libyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Libyan police officials in Libya.
"They have just returned. They are going to be drawing up their trip report. They are going to be conferring with colleagues in the Department, and eventually drawing up a recommendation to the Secretary" on whether US citizens should be allowed to travel to and through Libya, Foley said.
