Israel continues attacks against Lebanese civilians

News reports from south Lebanon said on Tuesday that the Israeli occupation forces renewed their attacks on south Lebanese areas.
Lebanese security sources said an Israeli tank bombarded the towns of al-Mansouri, Zibqin, Jib Sweid and the Litani river area.
The bombardment was accompanied by the heavy machine gun fire and mock raids carried out by Israeli warplanes.
The Israeli jets also raided the western part of Majdal Zoune in south Lebanon. The Lebanese security sources added that the Israeli warplanes dropped two air-to-surface missiles on the targeted area.
On Tuesday morning the Israeli forces fired rockets and machine gunned al-Assi area and the outskirts of Kafra and Yater towns, from their position in Balat in the occupied part of south Lebanon.
Lebanese security sources said the Israeli bombardment coincided with intensive flights by Israeli warplanes in the area.
Moreover, the Israeli occupation forces bombarded populated quarters of Majdal Zoune town in the western sector of south Lebanon. Lebanese security sources said more than 10 mortar shells fell over parts of the town and its surroundings, where a Lebanese woman and her brother were wounded.
In retaliation, the Lebanese resistance attacked a position of the Israeli occupation forces and their agents in Balat area. In a statement, the resistance said the attack resulted in direct hits on the fortifications of the enemy position.
On Monday evening, the Lebanese resistance attacked two position of the Israeli forces and their agents of South Lebanon Army militia inside the occupied part of south Lebanon.
In a statement, the resistance said one of its groups attacked Hadatha position, while another group attacked Rashaf position. Direct hits were scored on both positions.
