More trade among Tunisia and the Arab states

The volume of commercial exchange among Tunisia and the Arab states reached 844 million Tunisian dinars during 1999 in comparison to 769 million dinars during 1998.
Official Tunisian statistics said the value of the Tunisian exports to the Arab states reached 393.9 million dinars in comparison to 364 million dinars during the same period of 1998, while Tunisia imports from the Arab states were valued at 450.2 million dinars in comparison to 394.8 million dinars.
The statistics said the percentage of Tunisian commercial exchange with the Arab Maghreb states reached 70% of its total commercial exchange with the other Arab states.
