African diplomatic delegation visits Khartoum

An African diplomatic delegation resumed its meetings in Khartoum to discuss the peace talks with the Sudanese government concerning the civil war in the south.
The delegation includes Daniel Meboba, special envoy of Kenyan President Daniel arap Moi, who leads the delegation which is comprised of five personalities from the Inter-Governmental Authority on Development (IGAD), which has been mediating for five years to reach a peace agreement.
The sources said the delegation is trying to approach points of view between the government and the rebel Sudan People's Liberation Army to resume the talks at the beginning of the coming month to reach a peace agreement.
