Organization of African Unity discussing establishing an African parliament

Salem Ahmed Salem, secretary general of the Organization of African Unity, stated yesterday that the organization currently considering establishing an African parliament, clarifying that a draft is currently being made to form an agreement concerning this matter.
Salem said in statements to Egyptian radio that the armed conflicts in a lot of African states are obstructing the economic and social development in them, asserting that the only way to achieve prosperity in Africa is stability and peace and devotion to establishing the society.
