Kuwait cancels prison sentence against two writers

The Kuwaiti appeals court dropped an prison sentence issued against Kuwaiti writers Leila Ossman and Alia Shoaib, as well as publisher Yehia El-Rabian.
Alia Shoaib was found innocent from abusing religion while the court convicted Leila El-Ossman of publishing immoral things and eased the penalty to a financial fine.
The court decided to order El-Ossman and El-Rabian to pay a fine of 100 Kuwaiti dinars and a 100-dinar fine for not having a printing license, while the court said the book "Shoaib the Divine age" mentions immoral things and ordered her to pay a fine of 100 dinars for not having a printing license and issued a confiscation verdict for the two books that were at issue in the accusation.
