Company to make moped bikes for handicapped

SMACIT, a company based in the industrial zone of the Moroccan southern city of Laayoune, will manufacture three-wheeled moped bikes for the handicapped.
The project, worth more than $60,000, will be carried out under an agreement concluded in Rabat last week between Morocco and SMACIT company.
The project will provide the handicapped with a vehicle-- whose maximum price will not exceed $2,500-- meeting their specific needs, making their movement easier and allowing their integration in the society.
The project will generate a dozen jobs.
The agreement was signed by the Moroccan industry, commerce and handicraft minister, Alami Tazi, and SMACIT's managing director, Eduard Trouve, in the presence of the Moroccan secretary of state in charge of the handicapped, Mrs Nouzha Chekrouni.
