Reporters don armbands in support of dismissed daily manager

Reporters of the dailies "Al Bayane" (French) and "Bayane Al Youm" (Arabic) donned Sunday armbands in solidarity with dismissed manager Nabil Benabdallah and waved collective resignation.
Benabdallah who operated, within the last two years, drastic changes in the two dailies of the Party for Progress and Socialism "PPS" (Socialist- government), has become a target of criticism by conservative political bureau members blaming him for editorial change and dwindling coverage of party activities.
The PPS political bureau, including Benabdallah, and party leader Ismail Alaoui and daily general-manager are to decide whether he leaves or pressure from conservatives on the party dailies are to stop, MAP reported.
