Regional, Politics, 3/25/2000
Arab sources said there will be a Palestinian - Israeli summit in Bethlehem on coming April 2 between Palestinian President Yasser Arafat and Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak following Arafat's visit to Berlin, which is starting tomorrow.
The sources added that there is to be a summit in Cairo on April 4 between Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, Arafat and Barak.
Barak expressed his optimism toward the summit meeting scheduled for Sunday in Geneva between Syrian President Hafez al-Assad and US President Bill Clinton, which he sees as a historic chance for the peace process, especially before end of Clinton's term of office.
