Lebanese resistance operations in south Lebanon

The Israeli occupation forces on Friday renewed their attacks against areas adjacent to the occupied part of south Lebanon.

Lebanese security sources said the Israeli artillery bombarded the outskirts of Barachit, Beit Yahoun and Eita al-Jabal in south Lebanon.

The Israeli forces also shelled a number of towns in the western sector of south Lebanon. Lebanese security sources said the Israeli forces bombarded with 120 and 155 mm guns the towns of Majdal Zoun, al-Mansouri, Zibqin, Jib Sweid, al-Qeseyeh, Kafra, Yater and al-Bottom.

In retaliation, on Friday afternoon, the Lebanese resistance attacked two positions of the Israeli forces and their agents in South Lebanon Army militia in the Beaufort and Sweida areas inside the occupied part of south Lebanon.

In a statement, the resistance said a group of its fighters attacked military movements inside the Beaufort position, and direct hits were inflicted on soldiers manning the position and its southern detachment.

The statement added that another Lebanese resistance group simultaneously rocketed and machine-gunned the Sweida position whose militia occupants and some of its fortifications were directly hit.

In a third statement, the Lebanese resistance said at least two Israeli soldiers were wounded as a result of an ambush carried out by the Lebanese resistance against an Israeli force which was patrolling along the road to al-Radar position inside the occupied part of south Lebanon.

The statement added the resistance men fired six mortar guns against the force and the position which were directly hit.
