UN human rights high commissioner hails Morocco's human rights moves
Morocco-UN, Politics, 3/24/2000

United Nations Human Rights High Commissioner Mary Robinson has hailed Morocco's resolve to promote human rights and consolidate the rule of law.

This came in a meeting in Geneva Thursday between Robinson and Moroccan minister in charge of human rights, Mohamed Aujjar, who is attending the 56th session of the UN human rights commission currently convening in Geneva.

Robinson's coming visit to Morocco next April 14-15 and cooperation between the UN commission and Morocco were also covered at the meeting.

During her trip to the kingdom, Robinson will attend the closing session of an international workshop on national human rights institutions and will dedicate a training center on human rights.
