King Mohammed hails fruitful Morocco-IMF cooperation
Morocco-IMF, Economics, 3/24/2000
King Mohammed VI hailed fruitful cooperation relations that have always dominated relations between Morocco and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) within the scope of a global reform strategy meant to make of men and socio-cultural aspects the cornerstone of economic growth.
In a message of congratulations to Horst Kochler, appointed Thursday at the head of IMF, the king said that at a time when world economy boasts new growth prospects, the new general-manager will give reform and IMF action the required impetus to steady the international monetary system, favor investments and be more in tune with needs of low-income countries.
Thanks to his experience and inclination for dialogue and consultation, the message says, Kochler will make a special point of giving adequate answers to developing countries' problems and concerns and the needed back-up to their lasting economic and social development.
