Egypt specifies 8 billion L.E to establish new roads

Egyptian Transportation Minister Ibrahim El-Domairi said seven new roads will be established at a cost of 8 billion L.E during the next three years on the BOT (build- operate- transfer) system.
He added that these roads will serve the investment projects, cover 1,842 kilometers and include linking Cairo with Ain Sokhna, one of the tourism development areas, and Kerimat, one of the new agricultural investment areas.
El-Domairi said there is the Alexandria - Fayoum road; a new road between Cairo, Alexandria, Ain Sokhna, and Marsa Alam of 600 kilometers to serve the tourism and industry in the area; and a road linking Fayoum to Asyut.
