Three SLA militiamen killed, wounded in south Lebanon

The Israeli occupation forces on Thursday continued their aggressions against areas adjacent to the occupied part of south Lebanon.

Lebanese security sources said the Israeli artillery on Thursday afternoon pounded al-Hamra farm, Yahmur Plain, the outskirts of Meifdoun town, and al-Murabba area between Zouter East and Zouter West towns, al-Rayhan woods and al-Zahrani river course.

Meanwhile, news reports from south Lebanon said that the Israeli Army occupation leadership informed the leadership of the pro-Israel South Lebanon Army militia of their readiness to withdraw from the occupied part of al-Rayhan as a result of the increasing attacks carried out by the Lebanese national resistance.

The reports added that intensive Israeli military moves are made in this area amid strong and tough security measures, noting if such an Israeli withdrawal will take place it will cover al-Rayman area, Aramta.

The Israeli occupation forces, on the other hand, kept Zamraya crossing closed before the movement of Lebanese citizens for the second running day.

In retaliation for the Israeli attacks, the Lebanese resistance attacked Israeli vehicles in the surrounding and inside Balat position. In a statement, the Lebanese resistance said precise and accurate hits were scored in the position's fortifications.

In another statement, the Lebanese resistance said it attacked with rockets the Israeli and SLA militia position in Beit Leif and that occupants of the position were killed or wounded.

Security sources reported that one SLA militia member was killed and two others were wounded in this attack, and an Israeli military spokesman admitted the killing of one SLA militia member and wounding of two in this position during the resistance operation.

Meanwhile, some 45 member of the SLA militia in Hasbaya district submitted their resignation. News reports from the occupied part of south Lebanon said that militia members Mahmoud Ahmad Dei'bes and Anwar Ali Mahmoud from Shoya town stick to their houses after they left SLA militias together with other 15 members from the same town last week.
