Euro-Mediterranean conference on women in Brussels

A Euro-Mediterranean conference on women will be held March 24-25 in Brussels to assess the emergencies regarding the economic development of women in the Mediterranean region.
The conference, sponsored by the AIM association (Action in the Mediterranean) within the frame of the Euro-Mediterranean partnership, aims at developing a Euro-Mediterranean women's network in the economic field, identifying the priorities of women in the field of economic development and entrepreneurship in the Euro-Mediterranean zone and defining strategies to maximize the results of policies and action, initiatives and programs in this field.
The encounter, the first of its kind, will gather 150 EU delegates and their Mediterranean partners (Algeria, Cyprus, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Malta, Morocco, Palestinian Authority, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey), in addition to representatives of international organizations, financial institutions, NGOs and women entrepreneurs' associations.
Morocco will be represented to this conference by the secretary of state in charge of social protection, family and children, Mohamed Said Saadi.
