$250 million for upgrading Abu Dhabi airport

A plan for upgrading Abu Dhabi airport will start at the beginning of next year at a cost of $250 million.
This step comes in light of expectations concerning the increasing volume of aviation and the passenger movement through Abu Dhabi Airport, which is expected to reach more than 3.5 million passengers by the beginning of 2001.
This project is expected to be completed by the beginning of 2003. British, German, US, UAE and Egyptian companies will implement this plan.
