FIFA, CAF chiefs in Morocco
Morocco, Sports, 3/22/2000
President of the World Football governing body FIFA, Sepp Blatter, and President of the African football Confederation CAF, Issa Hayatou, will pay a two-day visit to Morocco this weekend. The two men will hold talks with Moroccan officials on Morocco's bid to host the 2006 World Cup finals.
Blatter and Hayatou will visit the Mohammed V mausoleum, the Hassan II Mosque and the Mohammed V sports compound.
Morocco is campaigning against South Africa, Brazil, England and Germany.
A FIFA delegation visited Morocco last month and said it was "very, very impressed" by Morocco's bid and installations.
FIFA governing board will select next July the host country.
