King Mohammed holds meetings with Premier Lionel Jospin

Visiting King Mohammed VI met in Paris twice with French Premier Lionel Jospin for private talks followed by work sessions extended to members of delegations.
After the meetings, Jospin hosted a luncheon reception in honor of the king at Matignon, seat of the prime minister's department.
The reception was followed by the signing ceremony of the agreement swapping 700 million FF of Moroccan debt into investments.
On day 1 of the visit, the king had conferred three times with president Chirac and had dinner at the Elysee Palace.
Meantime, King Mohammed conferred on Tuesday with the speaker of the French National Assembly (Parliament), M. Laurent Fabius, at the Marigny residence where the sovereign is staying during his state visit to France March 19-23. The meeting was attended by members of the delegation accompanying the sovereign. The king also met Senate Speaker Christian Poncelet and a delegation of entrepreneurs representing different economic activities in France.
