Moroccan king hails Tunisia's efforts to build up the Maghreb
Tunisia-Morocco, Politics, 3/21/2000

King Mohammed VI has hailed the efforts made by President Zine el Abidine Ben Ali of Tunisia to build up the Maghreb and foster bilateral relations. This came in a message of congratulations that the king sent to the Tunisian president on the occasion of his country's independence day.

The king renewed "the pledge we made together to consolidate cooperation relations between our two brotherly countries and to enlarge the scope of this cooperation, in the prospect of the edification of a solidary Arab Maghreb, able to take up all challenges, in a world where regional groupings are thriving."
