Iraq rejects call to increase petroleum production
Iraq-USA, Politics, 3/20/2000

Iraqi Petroleum Minister Amir Mohammed Rashid asserted that Iraq still insists on its status and it will not increase its petroleum production and that it will not help the USA decrease international petroleum prices.

Rashid warned of some Gulf states' submission to the USA on account of its interests, adding that history will try those US agents who contribute to decreasing the petroleum prices.

He asserted that the USA is trying to improve its relations with Iran in order to subject Iran to its demands to increase its petroleum production and help shell the Iraqi military through the Iranian lands.
