Syrian defense minister confers with Irish counterpart

The Syrian defense minister, deputy premier and deputy commander in chief of the army and armed forces, Lt. Gen. Mustafa Tlass, on Sunday in Damascus received the minister of defense of Ireland, Michael Smith, and members of the accompanying delegation.
The two sides discussed friendship and cooperation relations between the armies of the two countries and means of developing them for the interests of Syria and Ireland.
The two sides also discussed the activities of the UNDOF (UN Disengagement Observer Forces in the Golan).
