Sudanese army repels rebel attack

The Sudanese Army on Sunday stressed that it had repelled an attack carried out by rebels in Hamu Shkourb district and other areas in Kassala province in the southern part of the country.
A statement released by the general command of the armed forces and broadcast by Sudanese radio said that the armed forces inflicted heavy losses against the rebels, and the battles are still going on.
