Prizes for Egyptian cinema to be announced in June

The 6th national festival for Egyptian cinema is to take place in mid-June with the participation of 22 long films and more than 50 short and documentary films as well as animated cartoons.
These films are competing for a prize of 300,000 LE presented by the cultural development fund affiliated to the Egyptian Ministry of Culture in addition to granting gold medals to best the director, film, script, actor, actress, decoration, music, first work and other cinema prizes.
These Egyptian prizes equal the Oscar, Sesar, Joya and Pafta in their value to the Egyptian cinema.
The festival will be headed by Ali Shadi, the cinematic critic, head of the culture palaces organization which is concerned with delivering cultural services to Egypt's different governorates.
