Libyan efforts behind resuming diplomatic relations between Djibouti and Eritrea

Libyan sources told ArabicNews.com that the resumption of diplomatic relations between Djibouti and Eritrea was due to a strong Libyan mediation that was made by Ali Abd El-Salam El-Teraiki, secretary of the public committee for the African unity, according to the assignment by leaders of the assembly of Saharan and coastal countries which takes Tripoli as its headquarters.
The sources added that Djibouti and Eritrea expressed their relief for resuming the relations through the Libyan mediation and providing the proper circumstances to take this decision.
The Sahara and the coastal assembly includes 11 countries which are Sudan, Niger, Mali, Burkina Faso, Chad, the Central African Republic, Eritrea, Djibouti, Senegal, Gambia and Libya.
