Israel to withdraw from 6.1% of West Bank next week
Palestine-Israel, Politics, 3/15/2000
Palestinian sources told ArabicNews.com that Israel will carry out its required withdrawal from 6.1% of the West Bank during the coming week, saying that the Palestinian leadership is comforted over the resumption on the Palestinian track which assures the Palestinian people's right to establish an independent country with Jerusalem as its capital, adding that resuming the peace process is a positive step toward ending the impasse in the area.
The sources called for a halt to Israeli settlement activities until reaching the final status agreements.
