Jordanian king confers with US congressional delegation

King Abdullah II of Jordan on Tuesday in Amman reviewed with a US congressional delegation the development of conditions in the region, foremost being developments pertaining to the peace process and the efforts exerted on all levels to give them a push forward on all tracks so as to achieve a just and comprehensive peace, according to international legitimacy resolutions concerned.

The Jordanian king indicated the role played by the US in helping all sides involved with the peace process to eliminate their obstacles so as to achieve the awaited for peace.

The US delegation, which includes Senator Richard Shelby, Senator Ernest Hollings and Senator Robert Kerrey, expressed appreciation for the efforts made by King Abdullah in working to consolidate the pillars of peace and stability in the region and in order to achieve economic and social development in his country, Jordan.
