Sudan, Politics, 3/14/2000
Sudanese television said yesterday that a new draft was agreed on that allows the Sudanese opposition parties to resume their activity without being officially registered.
He said the consent took place during a meeting headed by Sudanese First Vice President Ali Ossman Taha which comprised some of the concerned ministers and which will be followed by another meeting by the Sudanese government to ratify the law.
This law will be enforced after being issued according to a president decree, and the parties will only register their names at election time in order to participate in the vote.
