Tunisia-Egypt, Politics, 3/14/2000

The meetings of the fifth session of the committee for follow up and political coordination consultation concluded yesterday in the headquarters of the Egyptian Foreign Ministry between Egypt and Tunisia headed by Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa and Tunisian Foreign Minister Habib Bin Yahia, who left Cairo yesterday evening.

Mostafa El-Feki, Egypt's assistant foreign minister for Arab affairs, said these meetings, which lasted for two days, showed a great understanding between the two states' points of view and their agreement to remove the obstacles that obstruct bilateral cooperation.

He said the focus in the coming stage will be on removing the obstacles that obstruct increasing the volume of commercial trade in addition to welcoming Egypt's membership of the Arab Maghreb Union.
