Barak and the fate of Jerusalem
Regional-Israel, Politics, 3/13/2000
Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak has renewed his government's stances in keeping the occupied Arab city of Jerusalem under Israeli control as an immortal capital for Israel, according to Israeli reports.
Israeli Radio said that Barak stressed during a session of his government on Sunday that the Israeli government has not changed its position in this regard and that Jerusalem will be the united capital of Israel until eternity.
Barak added that what had been quoted by the mass media during the recent days concerning Israel's intention to demarcate borders of Jerusalem district is null and groundless.
