Egypt-Israel, Politics, 3/11/2000
Mohammed Bassiouni, Egypt's ambassador in Tel Aviv, said the aim of the peace process is to reach agreements on all tracks to achieve and implement a comprehensive solution, adding that progress in the negotiations on any track should not be at the cost of the others, saying that Egypt is concerned with reaching a real settlement on all the negotiation tracks.
He also emphasized the importance of pushing forward the peace process on the Palestinian track on the basis that the Palestinian cause is the substance of the Arab - Israeli conflict, adding that a halt in this track causes tension in the area.
