Lebanese premier confers with Iraqi FM

Lebanese Premier and Foreign Minister Salim al-Hoss met on Friday with Iraqi Foreign Minister Muhammad Said al-Sahaf, the chairman of the current session of the Arab League council.
Discussions dealt with preparations for the meetings of the Arab foreign ministers on Saturday and Sunday in Beirut.
Following the meeting, al-Sahaf said, "We have discussed with Dr. al-Hoss what can be concluded by the meeting of the AL council especially in the practical side, in translating words and solidarity into actions and deeds in backing Lebanon."
The Iraqi minister voiced Iraq's solidarity and backing for Lebanon and the Lebanese people's unwavering stances toward preserving their national rights and struggle against Israel.
