Radi critical of classical Morocco-EU fishery relations
Morocco, Economics, 3/10/2000

Speaker of the House of Representatives Abdelouahed Radi voiced criticism of "classical" fishery cooperation between Morocco and the European Union.

Meeting the chairman of the home and defense committee at the German Bundestag Willfried Benr, Radi said Morocco was striving to make a rational use of fishery resources and incept new partnership ties with the European Union.

Radi also underscored the adverse effects of foreign debt, 33 PC of the budget, on development efforts and challenges the country has to face such as low public financing, drought and infrastructure shortage in rural areas.

The Bundestag committee chairman underlined the radiance of Moroccan civilization and said meetings with Moroccan officials will give a new impetus to cooperation relations between the two countries.
