Owner of building that collapsed gets five-year prison sentence

The owner of a building in Fes that collapsed last December, killing 47 people and injuring 40 others, was sentenced by the first instance court to five years in prisons.
Mohamed Khatimi, who was sued for charges of illegal construction, non-respect of security standards, corruption, second-degree injury and murder, was also ordered to pay a 1,000 Dh fine ($ 100).
