A Group of Kosovars will be Part among Moroccan Pilgrims
Morocco, Culture, 3/9/2000
Morocco has decided to take in charge the pilgrimage cost of a number of Muslims from Kosovar and to integrate them among the Moroccans who are performing this year the pilgrimage rituals in the Islamic holy shrines in Saudi Arabia.
King Mohammed VI, who made the decision at the proposal of his sister Princess Lalla Meriem, chairwoman of the social works of the Royal Armed Forces, received here Wednesday head of the Islamic delegation from Mitrovica, Kosovo, Arlasane Mourady, that will perform pilgrimage.
A Moroccan contingent is currently deployed in Kosovo to extend humanitarian assistance to local inhabitants. The Moroccan National Committee of Support to Kosovo is headed by Princess Lalla Meriem.
The sovereign had asked the team of the FAR social works-- being part of the Moroccan contingent in Kosovo-- to integrate Muslims from kosovo among Moroccan pilgrims.
During the audience, Arlasane Mourady expressed thanks to King Mohammed VI for the solicitude and interest he grants to Kosovo Muslims and for having dispatched a contingent of the Royal Armed forces to back and assist kosovo.
