Yemen denies relations with Israel

Yemeni Foreign Minister Abdul Qader Bajmal has denied statements made by Israeli officials that contacts are currently being made with Yemen and described these statements as part of the Israeli political blackmail.
In a statement to the Egyptian daily al-Ahram issued on Wednesday, Bajmal stressed that there are no Israeli contacts with Yemen. He renewed Yemen's opposition to normalization with Israel before achieving a just and comprehensive peace and the withdrawal of the Israeli forces from the Golan, south Lebanon and the Palestinian territories.
