Moroccan delegation invites Qatari businessmen to Gulf investment forum

A Moroccan executive delegation currently touring Arab Gulf states invited Qatar to send businessmen to the Arab Gulf investment forum slated in Morocco next May 2-4. The party, led by Hassan Bernoussi -- head of foreign investments at the finance and economy minister -- extended similar invitations to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Bahrain.

The tour, started last February 26 is meant to attract investments from the oil-rich region to Morocco.

Morocco's imports from the region are mainly made up of oil, plastic and chemical products, while exports consist of citrus fruits, canned food, shoes, handicraft items, ready-to-wear garments and some mining products, including phosphates.
