Omani ambassador meets with Egyptian FM

Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa received today Abd El-Aziz Bin Abdullah El-Hanaee, the ambassador of Oman, who delivered a copy of his accreditation papers.
El-Hanaee said the meeting comes to support the step made by Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak to support Lebanon and the Lebanese people.
Concerning the US warnings to the Arab states not to take positions in support of Hizbullah in the meeting of the Arab League council this weekend, El-Hanaee said, "There are no official warnings." He added that the Arab states are based on one corporation, the Arab League, which is concerned with the Arab states' affairs as well as the future of the Arab states, legalizing thhe mechanism of the Arab summit, Arab solidarity, and the joint Arab market, referring to importance of supporting Lebanon and Arab cooperation and economy.
El-Hanaee also said, "We denounce the Israeli aggression on Lebanon," assuring Lebanon's right to resist the Israeli occupation.
Concerning Iran's attendance in meetings of the coming AL council, El-Hanaee said the invitation addressed by AL Secretary General Esmat Abdul Meguid is for representative of the Organization of the Islamic Conference as well as Azzedine Laraki, secretary general of the OIC. He said Oman, the head of the current session of the AL council, did not address this invitation.
Moussa referred to the coordination of the two states' stances concerning the said issues.
